Dennis Olson
When I turned fifty I closed my architectural design and construction business in Vancouver. I moved to Galiano Island where I built a house, studio, and woodworking shop. I spent about half my time working on architectural design commisions. Much of the remainder of my time was spent in my woodworking shop making fine wood objects. These were sold in a cooperative fine art gallery of which I was a member.
After ten years on Galiano Island I moved back to Vancouver. There I began spending more time following my interest in art and took some short courses in drawing, painting, and sculpture. While family and other activities fill much of my time, I continue to enjoy making art as well as travelling and seeing art both of the past and the present.
