Verna, the model, suggested the title. The clay original dried out and developed many cracks. When I cast it in plaster I decided to incorporate the cracks into the finished sculpture - a fractured Venus.

My sculpture group of friends decided to have a weekend portrait workshop. We got a sculptor friend from Rumania to come and help us. He brought a family friend to be the model.

Making a Mould Lifesize

I had an 8"x8" by 8 feet long left over from a construction project. I decided my grape arbor needed a Viking guard to keep the racoons away. He has not been effective.
